Commercial Construction Laborer (GCCM)

Full-Time, 1st Shift
Travel is required consistently
Overview Kelley Construction is a multi-faceted commercial and industrial general contractor licensed to perform work in many states across the United States. We offer a wealth of technical expertise in all areas of commercial construction including: restaurants, medical facilities, warehousing, fast food chains, large design-build expansions and general office renovation. We also have broad experience in industrial construction, from liquid storage and containment and petroleum related construction to pre-engineered metal buildings and concrete construction.
Job Skills / Requirements Under direction of a supervisory official, performs varied types of manual and unskilled laboring work and may drive a truck in connection with laboring work on occasion; does other related duties as required.
This position involves, but is not limited to, the physical ability to lift and carry items weighing approximately 90 pounds; climb and work from ladders; bend, stoop, work around moving machinery, work around wood dust and fumes; work in inclement weather conditions. May travel and be away from home for several days at a time.
Principal Responsibilities
Load, lift, and move supplies, furniture, and equipment
Dig trenches and do manual grading
Collect rubbish and other refuse
Load and unload trucks
Shovel
Mix cement and mortar
Place and strip forms used in concrete work
Perform cold patching
Sweep
Pry and hammer apart sections of wall and roof
Load debris into truck for removal
Sort, pile, and clean salvageable brick, stone, lumber, and metal work
Occasionally drives trucks
Any and all other related duties assigned from time to time by supervisor
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to perform manual tasks either alone or as a member of a group
Ability to perform heavy manual labor for prolonged periods of time
Ability to follow prescribed procedures
Insuring safety practices are followed on job sites
Valid drivers license required
