Our work spans municipal, healthcare, education, aviation, and commercial facilities—projects where system performance, coordination, and long‑term value are essential.
Your Role at CNG Engineering As a Mechanical Engineer, you will support the design and development of HVAC and plumbing systems from concept through construction. You’ll work closely with senior engineers, designers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet project requirements, adhere to codes and standards, and contribute to high‑quality project delivery.
What You Will Do Support Technical Excellence
Contribute to the design and development of HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial and institutional facilities.
Perform load calculations and apply engineering principles to support system design.
Prepare mechanical engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents under the direction of a Project Manager or Licensed Engineer.
Maintain drawing quality standards and follow established BIM procedures.
Coordinate work efforts with multidisciplinary engineering teams and CAD/Revit design teams.
Set up BIM models from architectural and structural Revit files and create MEP discipline worksets.
Participate in design and construction meetings and communicate clearly with project partners.
Support Construction Administration
Conduct construction site visits and field surveys to verify code compliance, construction progress, and as‑built conditions.
Develop meeting minutes, site observation reports, and other documentation.
Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance with design intent and specifications.
Respond to RFIs in a timely and organized manner.
Research code issues and coordinate with City, State, and County officials to support compliance.
Apply sound judgment in selecting methods and techniques for project‑specific solutions.
Support project schedules, budgets, and deliverables with accuracy and accountability.
Grow & Contribute
Work directly with senior engineers to develop new designs and solutions.
Take ownership of assigned tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and technical excellence.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
EIT certification preferred.
4+ years of MEP mechanical design experience in municipal/aviation, education, healthcare, or commercial sectors.
Ability to obtain Texas PE licensure within 24 months.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Valid Texas driver’s license with an acceptable MVR required for site visits and field work.
Ability to pass a background check, consistent with applicable law and company policy.
