The ERP GTS Senior Specialist is responsible for the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) solutions to support global trade compliance and customs processes.
This role requires strong functional expertise across SAP GTS Compliance and Customs Management modules, along with hands‑on experience translating business requirements into scalable system solutions within ECC or S/4 environments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support SAP GTS implementations, including participation in full lifecycle SAP implementation projects.
Configure and manage SAP GTS Compliance Management processes, including:
Sanctioned Party List (SPL) screening
Embargo management
Product classification
Legal control for export and import
Implement and support SAP GTS Customs Management processes, including:
Export and import customs declarations
Inward processing
Transit and presentation
Bonded warehouse operations
Electronic filing and trade compliance reporting
Analyze business requirements and evaluate impacts to global SAP templates.
Translate business requirements into functional specifications and support technical design activities.
Configure feeder systems (ECC or S/4), including document types, master data, and integration settings.
Collaborate closely with technical teams to communicate functional requirements and support development activities.
Monitor and troubleshoot IDOC processing, including error resolution and data flow validation.
Prepare and execute test scripts and support integration, user acceptance, and regression testing.
Monitor background jobs, understand their purpose, and resolve job‑related execution issues.
Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and take accountability for assigned deliverables.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
5+ years of hands‑on experience implementing and supporting SAP GTS solutions.
Strong functional knowledge of SAP GTS Compliance Management and Customs Management modules.
Experience working with SAP ECC or S/4 feeder systems.
Proven ability to analyze complex business processes and map them to SAP GTS technical solutions.
Experience supporting data migration activities and cross‑functional project teams.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to deliver project outcomes on schedule with high quality.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with multiple SAP GTS full‑cycle implementations.
Exposure to global trade compliance processes across multiple regions or markets.
Experience working in large, global enterprise SAP landscapes.
Familiarity with data governance and data quality management concepts.
