Salary Range : $20.00 - $24.00 Hourly
SUMMARY Perform simple to complex, mechanical large-scale assembly for a variety of fabricated products. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude.
Key Responsibilities
Perform simple to complex mechanical, large-scale assembly tasks.
Assemble projects according to established plans, executing medium to complex heavy assembly tasks under the guidance of the Assembly Team Lead or Production Manager.
Independently plan and determine the method and sequence of operations, including the selection of materials to be used.
Provide direction to assistants or less experienced team members when needed.
Utilize a high level of mechanical knowledge to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Operate a variety of basic tools, fork‑lifts, and man‑lifts, ensuring safety and efficiency.
Engage in heavy lifting and work on man‑lifts at heights of 20+ ft.
Apply knowledge of rigging and pipe‑fitting, with a basic understanding of machining and fabricating, including operating a mill, lathe, and welder.
Work self‑directed, demonstrating initiative and problem‑solving skills.
Utilize electrical knowledge to enhance assembly processes, if applicable.
Qualifications Required Education
High school diploma, GED or equivalent
Preferred Education
Technical certification or associate degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
Required Experience
High level of mechanical knowledge
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Proficiency in using a variety of basic tools
Experience operating a fork‑lift and man‑lift
Preferred Experience
Knowledge of rigging
Familiarity with pipe‑fitting
Basic knowledge of machining and fabricating, such as operating a mill, lathe, or welder
Electrical knowledge
