This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the JBSA Lackland Outdoor Recreation.

This is a regular part-time category position with guaranteed 20 hours per week, may work up to 40 hrs./week. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits.

Frequently lifts and carries parts and assemblies weighing up to 50 pounds. Work is performed inside and outside, in all kinds of weather conditions.

Responsibilities The purpose of this position is to assist the Maintenance Supervisor in the performance of general inspection, maintenance, check-in and check-out, monitors inventory supply of parts, and cleaning of equipment. Assists patrons in all phases of safety regulations concerning the use of rental equipment. Helps make minor repairs on equipment. Reports equipment problems and failures to supervisors. Maintains maintenance records on all equipment, including inspections and repairs made. Performs a variety of simple, manual tasks involving the use of simple hand tools and equipment. Frequently lifts and carries parts and assemblies weighing up to 50 pounds. Occasionally lifting assemblies weighing over 50 pounds. Requires standing, bending, stooping, climbing, crawling, and working in tight spaces and awkward positions. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.

This position subjects the incumbent to random drug testing.

This position has physical requirements which require the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical to include an annual audio test.

This position requires the incumbent to have a valid driver's license.

To be considered for this position, the applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or a Legal U.S. Resident for a minimum of 3 years and must reside in/around the area as noted in the Job Opportunity Announcement.
