I-State Truck Center is looking for Experienced Diesel Mechanic/Technician(s) for our
Sioux City Iowa
location. We are currently seeking Diesel Mechanic/Technician(s) specializing in Freightliner, Detroit, Allison, Cummins, CAT products, MTU, and more! We are offering highly competitive wages! Pay Range: Starting at $25.00-$40.00 per hour DOE Diesel Technicians will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related components in trucks, buses, and other heavy-duty vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, diagnostic skills, and a passion for working with diesel engines. Diesel Mechanic/Technician Job Duties: Responsible for repairing and maintaining diesel engines and diesel components used in various vehicles and diesel equipment. Accurately and efficiently diagnose complex diesel engine conditions and make necessary repairs. Communicate effectively with peers, foreman, and service team regarding those repairs. Quality control work performed to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. Keep paperwork updated and handed in upon completion. Meet requirements for certifications. Valid Driver's license (Bonus compensation for CDL holders) Must possess a good work ethic, a positive attitude, and be reliable. Must possess an excellent understanding of Detroit Diesel engines through the current GHG17 product. Experience with other diesel engine platforms such as Cummins, CAT, & International are a plus. Other mechanical skills desired but not essential: Hydraulics, Brakes & Suspension, Manual Transmissions, Drive Train, and Automatic Transmissions. Must be physically able to lift and work with no restrictions. Diesel Mechanic Desired Skills/Qualities: Positive attitude and the ability to set goals and accomplish them.
