The
Metal Polisher
is responsible to prepare metal products for finishing processes by using various techniques to grind, buff, and polish parts. As a Metal Polisher, your duties will include: Grind and polish a wide variety of stainless steel, mild steel and/or brass component parts to remove excess material or burrs from surfaces, sharpen edges and corners, buff, hone, and polish metalwork pieces. Grind or clean weld joints of work piece. Operate hand grinder/hand polisher to prepare the work piece for plating or painting. Use disc angle grinder to remove welds on the work piece. Use disc grinder to smooth out or grind parts prior to shipping. Apply greaseless compounds to buffing wheels that are used for polishing component parts. Assemble component parts using hand and small power tools. Change hoses, fittings, air valves, etc. as required. Ability to read detailed Shop Drawings. THE SKILLSET: 2-4 year’s polishing experience in a store fixture manufacturing environment. Motivated and willing to learn. A positive attitude toward teamwork and strong relational skills. Strong attention to detail. Resourceful and a problem solver. Ability to work overtime when required. Day Shift – 7:30a.m. to 4:00p.m.
