POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Food Service Director, the position primarily involves the preparation, delivery, and clean up of meals for all applicable Camp Erdman programs. THIS POSITION DOES NOT INCLUDE HOUSING. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES
Prepares and assists in serving food under the supervision of the shift manager. Is responsible for the washing of dishes and the cleaning and care of the kitchen, equipment, and dining hall. Strictly follows sanitary standards set by the Hawaii State Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Strictly follows sanitary standards set by the YMCA of Honolulu and Food Service Director at Camp Erdman. Willingness and ability to adhere to code of conduct and exemplify the values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 16 years of age TB test Completion of a background check prior to hire Skills/Knowledge
Knowledge of standards of food preparation, serving, and kitchen procedures preferred Experience as a cook - camp or institutional food service preferred Education/Training
High school diploma or equivalent preferred Completion of an approved Hawaii Food Handler course preferred WHY THE Y?
