About the Role As the Apartment Maintenance Supervisor at Wilsondale in Hampton, VA, you will be a key member of our team, responsible for keeping our property in top-notch physical condition, inside and out. A typical day could include plumbing, electrical, basic drywall, carpet, and appliance repairs, plus common area and exterior maintenance and repairs. You'll perform and delegate maintenance tasks, respond to after-hours emergencies, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities

Perform and oversee maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpet, and appliance repairs

Maintain common areas and exteriors to the highest standards

Respond to after-hours emergencies (on-call rotation required)

Delegate tasks to maintenance assistants and ensure timely completion

Maintain accurate records for work orders, parts, inventory, and service follow-up

Foster a positive, customer-focused environment for residents and team members

Participate in ongoing training and mentorship through "The Park Academy"

What We're Looking For

Caring attitude, pride in your work, and commitment to high performance

Self-motivated, hard-working, and high-energy

Experience in apartment maintenance or related field preferred

HVAC certification preferred

Skilled in using power tools and basic technology (computers/tablets)

Good people skills, friendly and helpful attitude

Ability to lift/carry up to 75 lbs. frequently

Strong record-keeping and organizational skills

Valid driver's license

Rotating after-hours on-call availability and weekends
