Assembly Technician

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring an Assembly Technician. Position Type: Full time Contract Duration: 06-12 Months Location: Orlando, FL, 32804 (Onsite) As an Assembly Technician, you will:

  1. Perform soldering tasks including soldering components, configuring cabling, and wiring.
  2. Assemble mechanical or electro-mechanical components, sub-assemblies, or final products in a repetitive and precise manner.
  3. Build wiring harnesses, perform PCB assembly, and work with electrical and electro-optical subassemblies.
  4. Use hand tools such as long nose pliers, screwdrivers, soldering irons, wrenches, and wire strippers.
  5. Crimp cables using a wide range of tools (e.g., hand crimping tools).
  6. Work with RTV, epoxy, and other adhesives/bonding materials.
  7. Follow engineered assembly processes, including adjustments, fitting, or alignment of parts as needed.
  8. Read and comply with work instructions, safety rules, and maintenance procedures.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety protocols.
  10. Perform visual inspections for defects and conduct functional tests and cleaning at prescribed intervals.
  11. Conduct quality inspections at specified intervals and report deviations from standards.
  12. Maintain consistent quality and productivity levels.
  13. Use Microsoft Office programs for documentation and communication.
  14. Identify problems and contribute to process improvements.
  15. Collaborate effectively as part of a team to accomplish tasks and support group objectives for on-time delivery.
  16. Verify use of the most updated procedures and follow industry standards such as 6S.
  17. Transport materials weighing up to 25 lbs.
  18. Perform job duties in compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a 2-year post-secondary/associate's degree with 02 years of related experience.
  • 2 years of experience with basic hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers).
  • 2 years of experience in computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and email navigation.
  • 1 year of experience in reading and following drawings and work instructions.
  • 1 year of experience using a microscope for extended periods.
  • J-STD soldering experience.
  • Experience with manual labor tasks.
