
Position Summary
Responsible for efficient processing of residential mortgage loan applications.
Essential Functions
Disclose new mortgage applications in a timely, accurate and compliant manner
Manage a pipeline of conventional, government and/or portfolio loans. The Bank's general expectation is to keep individual pipelines to a maximum of 45 per processor.
Evaluate all new loan documentation to ensure a timely and efficient submission into underwriting
Maintain high level of customer service with proactive communication between borrowers, Sales and Operations management
Collect and review all loan conditions prior to re-submission to underwriting for final approval
Ensure accurate, complete and timely loan data being entered into loan processing system
Assist, on a "as needed" basis, in the follow-up for post-closing documentation
Assist in implementation of new products and programs when necessary
Assist in specials projects when necessary
Support branch network regarding mortgage loans status, policy, procedures and products
Liaison between realtors, title companies, attorneys and investors
Maintain current knowledge of all industry and bank policies and procedures
Education and Experience
High school graduate or equivalent
College Degree preferred
5 years residential mortgage processing experience required
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Sound judgment and strong decision-making ability
Self-motivated with ability to work independently
Must possess excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task and to prioritize responsibilities
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Highly reliable and detail oriented
Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook are required. Familiarity with systems such as Encompass and Desktop Underwriter is a plus
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Required
Knowledgeable of all TRID guidelines
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret legal documents, governmental regulations, and professional publications; ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from senior management, attorneys, vendors, government agents, and the general public; ability to write reports and business correspondence
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Ability to provide indirect supervision to subordinate staff members
