We are seeking a skilled
Mechanical Engineer
to join our team to support the design and procurement of advanced mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in piping systems, chilled water systems, and unique equipment requirements. This is an exciting opportunity to work on technically challenging projects in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review design and procurement documents, including P&IDs, equipment data sheets, material requisitions, and engineering specifications.
Develop specifications and data sheets for unique equipment and act as the technical liaison for associated purchase orders or subcontracts.
Evaluate, select, and apply standard mechanical engineering methods and practices to support design decisions.
Design, develop, and evaluate mechanical components and processes following established procedures, standards, and guidelines.
Coordinate mechanical engineering efforts with other disciplines, vendors, contractors, and clients.
Conduct conceptual studies, design reports, and proposals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or related Engineering.
Level Two:
5 to 8 years of progressive experience
Professional Engineering (PE) license in Mechanical Engineering or ability to obtain within 12 months.
Experience in P&ID/V&ID development, piping/HVAC system design, equipment specification, and design for industrial or process facilities.
Knowledge of ASME codes (B31, BPVC), International Mechanical/Plumbing Codes, ASHRAE, SMACNA, and DOD Unified Facilities Criteria.
Familiarity with quality assurance programs such as ASME NQA-1 or AS9100D.
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening, background check, and security clearance process.
