Overview
Provide technician-level support to production and engineering initiatives related to injection molds used in thermoplastic black and thermoplastic clear production areas. This role supports mold setup, adjustment, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure products meet established quality standards. Complete, accurate, and timely documentation of all mold-related activities is required. Responsibilities
Take direction from Engineers and Supervisors in support of current projects and production requirements Perform mold maintenance, troubleshoot quality issues, and implement corrective actions Modify and/or adjust mold components in accordance with established policies and procedures to achieve acceptable quality levels Establish, maintain, and update accurate records of all mold adjustments, maintenance, and change activities Interpret plastic part measurement data and communicate results to support team decision-making Follow and understand quality control systems associated with molded parts and tooling Assist with periodic product and process qualifications as required Additional duties and/or overtime may be required based on business needs Must Haves
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a medium-volume injection molding manufacturing environment Strong working knowledge of injection molds, precision measurement tools, engineering-grade materials, and manual shop equipment Experience working with very small mold components, including use of microscopes Ability to interpret plastic part measurement data and apply findings to troubleshooting and adjustments Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Proficiency with standard PC applications, including Microsoft Office Nice to Haves
