POSITION: HEAVY DUTY MECHANIC III
$2,500 Sign-On Bonus
The Heavy Duty Mechanic III must be a highly motivated, team player who is willing to help in all aspects of the company mainly focusing on the fixing, diagnostic, and preventative maintenance of all equipment and or trucks.
You will report to the Equipment Maintenance Manager which may be reassigned as workload changes.
WORK REQUIREMENTS
Performs inspection, maintenance and repairs on heavy duty equipment and vehicles, such as: trucks, trailers, forklifts, backhoes, skidders, lulls, dump trucks, etc. Responsible for diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, electrical trouble shooting, steering, cooling systems, etc.
Keeps track of all maintenance and work completed via: phone, email, text, and hard copy paperwork.
Do routine maintenance on equipment and trucks, such as: changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment, etc.
Repair or replace malfunctioning components, parts, and other mechanical or electrical equipment, etc.
Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.
Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices.
Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
Fit bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
Assemble gear systems, and align frames and gears
Weld or solder broken parts and structural members, using electric or gas welders and soldering tools.
Fabricate needed parts or items from sheet metal or other materials.
Must have comprehensive set of tools to complete most mechanical repairs. SunEnergy1 will provide specialty tools.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Ability to work in extreme outdoor environments (example: hot sun, cold, wet weather, etc.)
Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body
Ability to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time during an 8-12-hour day
Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks
Be able to lift 50 pounds of weight safely without assistance throughout assigned workday
RESPONSIBILITIES
Regular, reliable and predictable attendance required
Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
Must display a positive attitude dedicated towards achieving results for the company as well as providing quality service and accuracy.
Must maintain a clean and professional appearance and attitude at ALL times while at work, while representing or traveling for the company.
Responsible for daily upkeep of your work area and company equipment
Must be flexible with work hours and be able to work overtime as needed
Ensure all paperwork is completed and turned in daily
