Position We’re hiring an experienced
Senior Technical Proposal Writer
for a 2-4 month contract role with potential for full‑time conversion. The role transforms complex technical information into compelling proposals for local, state, and/or federal contracts. The candidate will initially work onsite at our Sarasota headquarters (housing assistance provided) and then work remotely for the remainder of the assignment, though remote‑only work is also considered.
Responsibilities
Analyze and interpret solicitations (RFPs, RFQs, IDIQs) to ensure compliance and develop response strategies.
Write persuasive proposal sections, including technical plans, past performance narratives, and executive summaries.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—project managers, engineers, and executives—to translate ideas into impactful language.
Manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment with tight deadlines.
Ensure compliance with agency requirements, evaluation criteria, and industry standards while maintaining Ceres Global’s brand voice and standards.
Contribute creative ideas to improve proposal efficiency, design, and quality.
Required Qualifications
B.S. degree in Communications, English, Business, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in proposal development and technical writing.
Exceptional technical writing and editing skills with strong accuracy, clarity, and tone.
Proven experience compiling complex submissions for government or commercial contracts.
Strong collaboration skills and confidence engaging stakeholders and leaders across departments.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree.
Experience developing proposals for federal government agencies.
5+ years of experience responding to solicitations with $100M+ valuation.
Prior experience in disaster recovery/emergency response, AEC, or defense industries.
