Summary The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire is a dynamic organization supporting 200 staff and 30 Early Childhood and Out of School Time programs. The Regional Development Associate serves as a member of the Development Team and helps increase revenue to support the organization's mission and strategic plan within the assigned geographic region.
Objectives of this role
Learn and operate the assigned stages of the sustainable fundraising model used by the Clubs.
Research, identify, and contact donor prospects.
Create and enhance relationships with donor prospects.
Maintain relationships with existing donors through regular contact and annual reports.
Ensure clear and concise data entry in the donor management system.
Participate in seminars and workshops to expand knowledge.
Attend networking events within the region.
Attend organizational events within the region and beyond as needed.
Duties Leadership
Provide effective communication with the development team.
Work toward sustainable funding for individual giving to support the strategic plan.
Collaborate with the manager on Discovery Hours (DH).
Provide handwritten correspondence, digital communications, personal phone calls, and face‑to‑face interactions with community members and potential donors.
Maintain effective and professional relationships with all Club staff.
Maintaining Donor Relations
Engage in conversations with local staff and community members to build local stories that reflect our core beliefs.
Build local committees for ongoing communication about potential DH guests.
Hold at least two DHs per month within the assigned area, following up with 100% of guests via phone or in‑person.
Create a plan for each donor driven by their passions and interests.
Recruit Table Captains for the Champions for Kids Breakfasts in the community.
Secure commitments of participation or donation from individuals and corporate donors.
Solicit cash or in‑kind donations and sponsorships for fundraising events.
Qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual gifts through personalized contacts.
Execute and participate in donor events as assigned to promote organizational goals.
Administration
Maintain the donor database and coordinate with other development staff.
Record accurate activity logs as directed by team protocol.
Adhere to professionalism in fundraising best practices.
Provide reports or presentations to communicate individual and planned giving data to the Director.
Handle other individual giving responsibilities as needed.
Relationships Internal: Maintain contact with the Development Team, Club staff, and Club members.
External: Maintain contact with potential and current donors, external community groups, and others as required.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
Experience in fund development or administrative management in a nonprofit agency is preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong project management, administrative, and organizational skills.
Attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
Ability to set clear team goals, manage multiple tasks, and develop solutions with limited supervision.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, board members, volunteers, community groups, and related agencies.
Knowledge of donor database management; Salesforce experience preferred.
Availability to travel for events, fundraisers, and networking, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and extended workdays.

All candidates offered a job must submit for an FBI fingerprint background check and a background check through the State of NH Criminal Records Department and FirstAdvantage. The State of NH Childcare Licensing Bureau may prohibit employment if a disqualifying finding exists. Even if approved, we reserve the right to determine employment status.
