Job Description We are seeking a hands‑on Product Development Engineer to support the design, development, and continuous improvement of heavy equipment used in the asphalt roadbuilding industry. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys being close to the product, working directly with production teams, and taking ownership from initial concept through full‑scale manufacturing.
You will be responsible for designing new products, improving existing designs, and ensuring that all solutions are safe, reliable, cost-effective, and optimized for manufacturing and serviceability.
What You Will Do
Design and develop new products as well as improve existing equipment platforms
Create detailed 3D models, drawings, bills of material, and process instructions using SolidWorks
Estimate production costs and optimize designs for manufacturability and assembly
Lead multiple engineering projects from concept through release and production support
Work directly with manufacturing teams to resolve shop floor and build‑related issues
Improve product performance, safety, quality, and overall profitability
Collaborate with engineering, sales, and manufacturing teams to support customer and business needs
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
2+ years of design and/or product engineering experience in a related environment.
Strong 3D CAD capability in SolidWorks is required.
Working knowledge of machining, welding, sheet metal fabrication, and shop practices.
