Overview
We are seeking a
Respiratory Therapist II, (RRT),
internally referred to as our Respiratory Care Practitioner II at St. Joseph's Medical Center (SJOMO), a member of Prime Healthcare. As a Respiratory Therapist 2 (RT 2) you will, under the direction and authorization of the Medical Director and Cardiopulmonary Director/Manager, perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician.
Bonus: $10,000 Bonus Option

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
Performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician
Emphasis will be toward the assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of care, with consideration of age and population specific needs and requirements of the patient
In the absence of a supervisor, may be assigned/identified as team lead, having responsibility for the section or department during their shift
Evaluation, diagnosis, and care of patients with cardiopulmonary problems
Patients include those with emphysema, asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia, cardiac failure, and chest trauma
Qualifications
Valid state Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license
Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
ACLS certificate within 60 day of hire and maintain current
PALS certificate within 60 days of hire and maintain current
High School Diploma or equivalent
Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus
4 years experience as an RCP
NRP certified
Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science Degree
