Construction Monitoring Specialist

Location: Mattoon, IL
Responsible for monitoring commercial construction loans from closing through completion, ensuring compliance with policy.
Responsibilities
Ensures all documentation related to the construction loans is obtained prior to loan closing (contracts, budgets, etc.).
Reviews and analyzes construction draw requests, balances the request with the construction budget, and obtains missing documents or approval for exceptions as needed.
Identifies inadequacies or missing documentation in construction data, reports, and draw requests, and communicates findings to management.
Coordinates the process of construction draws through loan administrators upon approval by the loan officer, regional and/or other appropriate parties.
Reviews title updates from title companies and communicates issues to management.
Maintains adequate documentation for construction loan files.
Reviews progress and final inspection reports, identifies and communicates issues to management in writing.
Completes imaging of all documents for the construction monitoring department to the imaging system.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field, or commensurate banking experience.
Minimum of 2+ years of credit, lending, or related experience.
Skills
Retrieve information quickly and efficiently.
Detail oriented with high organizational skills.
High level of analytical skills.
Communicate clearly and professionally.
Work effectively as part of a team to achieve established outcomes.
Maintain confidentiality and discretion.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; advanced training in Microsoft Excel preferred.
