We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Credit Underwriter on behalf of our client, a New Jersey based regional bank. This position requires 2+ years of experience in a banking environment, focusing on independent risk assessment and deal structuring.
Base pay range $70,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Conduct financial analysis of commercial loan requests, including cash flow, debt service coverage, and global cash flow.
Evaluate risk factors for CRE property types (multifamily, industrial, office) and C&I operating companies.
Prepare credit memorandums for loan committee approval.
Assist in the underwriting of SBA 7(a) and 504 loan products.
Perform annual reviews and monitor covenant compliance for an existing loan portfolio.
Partner with relationship managers to gather necessary borrower documentation.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in commercial credit analysis or underwriting.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Experience with SBA lending programs preferred.
Proficiency in financial spreading software and Excel.
Knowledge of New Jersey commercial real estate markets.
