Salary: $13.00–$15.00 per hour (Commission on Performance). Retention Bonus: $3,000.00.

Waste Pro offers a $10,000.00 Driver Award every three years when the driver meets specific criteria.

Summary of Position The Residential Driver operates refuse collection vehicles on assigned routes to pick up garbage, yard waste, or recycling. The driver performs pre‑trip and post‑trip truck checks, maintains the truck, and delivers cargo to the landfill or transfer station. Work is performed under supervision and reviewed for safety, efficiency, and customer service.

Essential Job Functions

Drive trucks safely on pre‑established routes in accordance with decision‑driving principles.

Collect and dump garbage and refuse into trucks while covering designated residential zones. Unloads refuse trucks at landfill or transfer station facilities.

Provide courteous, efficient customer service to the public and general customers.

Ensure proper pickup and transfer of waste; handle back‑door pickups and tag improper containers.

Perform daily pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and complete necessary safety lane activity and DVIRs in accordance with company and DOT guidelines.

Maintain a clean truck; wash the exterior weekly and inspect under hood, under carriage, and fluids.

Perform manual duties in cleaning scattered refuse; use hydraulics to move large bin contents.

Prepare, maintain, and submit required company and regulation‑mandated reports and documents.

Account for all persons working on the vehicle during the designated route.

Comply with all Department of Transportation and state requirements for commercial motor vehicle operators.

May be required to work during emergency situations.

Other Job Responsibilities

Attend and participate in corporation‑sponsored training courses as assigned.

Keep up to date on current technology relevant to the job.

Perform any additional duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Work Environment Work may involve wide temperature and weather variations (heat, cold, snow, rain, wind); noise, vibrations, fumes, odors, and dust.
