Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a cutting-edge New Aircraft Design Program team. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of military aviation by leading the design and development of next-generation aircraft. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of aerospace engineering principles, extensive experience in aircraft design, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of technology to achieve optimal performance, safety, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of advanced aircraft systems and structures.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including aerodynamics, propulsion, avionics, materials, and manufacturing.
Research, design, develop, test, certify, and improve aerospace products and systems throughout the product lifecycle.
Develop complex aerodynamic components, structures, and systems using advanced engineering tools.
Apply engineering analysis techniques such as FEA, CFD, and thermal analysis to validate designs.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
10 years of relevant experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
Proficiency with Computer-Aided Engineering tools (e.g., CATIA).
Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
Knowledge of engineering simulation tools (FEA, CFD, thermal analysis).
Background in Aerospace and Defense industry.
Familiarity with parametric design, model-based definition, material selection, and production processes.
Working Conditions
Rare exposure to outdoor elements, hazardous materials, or loud noises.
