Overview
The Electrical/Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and expanding a portfolio of lighting products and services. This role supports technology updates and late‑point configuration initiatives across product families while collaborating with manufacturing, product management, quality, suppliers, and other engineering teams.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop and update drawings, design files, and 3D models to support product portfolio enhancements and plant requests.
Execute project tasks in alignment with the New Product Development (NPD) process.
Drive projects aimed at improving profitability and revenue, including cost‑reduction initiatives and product line expansions.
Lead cross‑functional projects such as late‑point configuration within manufacturing facilities.
Coordinate performance and certification testing, manage prototype builds, and interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
Secondary Responsibilities
Support technology updates for electrical and mechanical subsystems.
Provide technical assistance for projects, customer inquiries, warranty issues, quality concerns, and technical service requests.
Design PCBs for lighting systems to meet performance and efficacy requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
3‑5 years of related experience; experience in lighting systems is a plus.
Familiarity with 2D and 3D CAD tools (preferred).
Experience with SAP ERP systems (preferred).
Knowledge of Altium/PCB layout software (preferred).
Understanding of manufacturing processes, especially sheet‑steel fabrication and assembly (desirable).
Strong communication skills—interpersonal, listening, oral, and written.
