Overview Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) provides business insurance, employee health & benefits, retirement, and private client insurance solutions. With 200 offices across North America, we combine a local consultant service model with global resources. Applicants must be within driving distance of a MMA SE office and can commute to the office three days per week.
Claims Management
Proactively advocate on P&C claims from initial report through resolution and communicate with clients and internal teams on claim status.
Mitigate client claim exposures through strategic claim management.
Negotiate with adjusters on behalf of clients for positive outcomes related to claims.
Maintain agency management system data accurately.
Organize and participate in claim review meetings and new business presentations.
Perform other claims related duties as assigned.
Claims Expertise
Act as a trusted expert in the marketplace, sharing claims knowledge and the impact of claims to risk management.
Continuously drive for further education and knowledge, staying ahead of coverage issues and claims technical skills.
Provide coverage and claims strategy advice to clients and internal team members.
Educate team members and clients through intentional training and education platforms.
Claims Trending & Analysis
Monitor trends within claims activity and communicate effectively with agency teams.
Remit claims related data such as loss statistics, key trends, and cost reduction opportunities to assist in action plan development.
Provide recommendations to marketing, sales and service teams regarding trending coverage issues to mitigate risks and engage clients.
Carrier Relationships
Build strong carrier relationships with adjusters and claims team members to support client needs and carrier objectives.
Communicate effectively with carriers as issues arise and work toward efficient resolution.
Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of previous P&C claims experience preferably.
Multi-line carrier or brokerage claims experience required.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in related field preferred.
Professional designations a plus.
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent analytical, project management and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to influence and negotiate with all stakeholders.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere and good relationships with customers, clients, colleagues and management.
Well organized, self‑motivated, willing to learn, attention to detail.
Computer proficiency with system of records, web‑based tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Established priorities and organized time efficiently to meet or exceed deadlines.
