Job Summary We are a licensed pre‑school in Orlando, FL with approximately 50 employees seeking an experienced
Human Resources Generalist
to manage all HR functions. This role supports staff, ensures compliance with
Florida employment laws and DCF childcare licensing requirements , and partners closely with leadership in a hands‑on environment.
Responsibilities
Manage day‑to‑day HR operations and employee relations
Ensure compliance with Florida and federal employment laws and DCF childcare regulations
Oversee employee records, background screenings, fingerprinting, and credential tracking
Manage full‑cycle recruitment for teachers, aides, and administrative staff
Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and required trainings (CPR, First Aid, child safety, etc.)
Support performance management, corrective actions, and terminations
Administer benefits and coordinate payroll with external providers
Maintain timekeeping, PTO, attendance, and leave tracking
Support DCF inspections and audits related to HR documentation
Requirements Required
2+ years of HR experience (education, childcare, healthcare, or regulated environments preferred)
Strong knowledge of Florida employment law
Experience with compliance, audits, and employee documentation
Excellent communication, organization, and conflict‑resolution skills
Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Nice To Haves Preferred
Experience with Florida DCF childcare licensing
Bilingual in English and Spanish
SHRM‑CP, PHR, or similar HR certification
