Base pay range $45.00/hr - $80.00/hr

Overview We are supporting a large-scale Financial Crimes transformation initiative and are seeking experienced professionals across AML Policy, Transaction Monitoring, New Products, Sanctions Governance, Risk Assessment, and Controls. These roles span Director, Senior Manager, and individual contributor levels and will play a critical role in strengthening a global AML and Sanctions framework in alignment with regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities AML Policies, Standards & Regulatory Mapping

Develop, enhance, and maintain global AML policies and standards, including U.S. AML standards, adverse media policies, and escalation frameworks.

Perform detailed regulatory mapping of policies and standards to NYDFS guidance, FATF publications, and internal Line Reference Documents (LRDs).

Ensure documentation is consistent, complete, and audit- and exam-ready.

Transaction Monitoring Framework & Methodology

Design, enhance, and document the Transaction Monitoring framework and methodology.

Update Transaction Monitoring Coverage Assessments and Red Flag Assessments.

Map transaction monitoring rules and scenarios to regulatory requirements, policies, and internal rulebooks.

Support ongoing regulatory remediation and model governance efforts.

Risk Assessment, Governance & ERM

Support AML and Sanctions Risk Assessments, governance forums, and ERM workstreams.

Assist with risk identification, control mapping, issue tracking, and regulatory remediation efforts.

Prepare materials for senior management, risk committees, and regulators.

Sanctions Program Enhancements (Role-Specific Focus Areas)

Build and maintain a comprehensive inventory of sanctions-related processes and controls across the organization.

Draft, update, and align sanctions policies, procedures, and training materials to regulatory expectations.

Design QA frameworks and decisioning guidelines to ensure consistent sanctions case handling.

Document and enhance location-based transaction blocking controls across business units.

Qualifications

5+ years (individual contributor), 8+ years (Senior Manager), or 12+ years (Director) of experience in AML, Sanctions, Financial Crimes Compliance, or Regulatory Risk.

Strong knowledge of NYDFS guidance, FATF standards, and U.S. AML/Sanctions regulatory frameworks.

Proven experience with policy and standards development, regulatory mapping, or control documentation.

Experience supporting regulatory remediation, consent orders, exams, or internal audits preferred.

Ability to produce clear, well-structured, regulator‑ready documentation.

Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work across Compliance, Legal, Risk, Product, and Operations teams.
