Role: Instructional Designer
Duration: 10 months
Location: Primarily Onsite - Richmond, VA
We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to develop and implement a comprehensive training program for our client. The ideal candidate will design instructional materials, e-learning modules, interactive guides, and scenario-based training to support end-user readiness. This individual will also be responsible for developing assessment tools and KPIs to measure training effectiveness while ensuring alignment with project schedule, scope, and budget.

Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive training programs and content
Design e-learning modules, instructional guides, and interactive presentations
Create scenario-based training and simulations
Develop assessments and performance KPIs
Ensure training supports end-user readiness
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain scope, schedule, and budget
Requirements
7+ years of experience in instructional design and large-scale training programs
Strong background in curriculum development
Expertise in e-learning design and development tools
Preferred tools: Camtasia, SnagIT, Microsoft 365
7+ years in training and QA within call center or billing operations (preferred)
5+ years of operational experience in utilities (water, gas) or similar industries (preferred)
Strong interpersonal skills, approachable, good listener, with a sense of humor
Intermediate to expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and Forms
