GZERO Media is seeking a freelance video producer with strong writing skills and a passion for global affairs. The role will run approximately four months beginning in January 2026, and will be based in our New York City headquarters.
Responsibilities
Serve as producer of
GZERO World
with Ian Bremmer, a weekly, half‑hour global affairs program airing nationally on public television
Write show monologues for GZERO World with Ian Bremmer
Produce videos ranging from field pieces and features to newsmaker interviews, short docuseries, promotional sizzles, branded content, and special projects as needed
Book guests and prepare show materials for the host
Pitch stories, interviews, and series ideas as a critical member of the editorial team
Fact‑check and review scripts, interview questions, and field pieces
Requirements
5+ years as a producer and writer in television and/or digital video news outlets
Journalistic writing experience focused on international affairs and policy
Ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines
Highly organized and efficient
Excellent communication skills
Strong collaboration skills with teams across the organization and external partners
Salary: $50–60 per hour (average of 30 hours per week). Part‑time, hourly position.
