Social Media Manager & Content Creator
MUST Ministries is seeking a dynamic, creative Social Media Manager and Content Creator to elevate our storytelling across multiple digital platforms. This role will produce on‑camera and off‑camera content designed to highlight our mission, impact, programs, and community partnerships. The ideal candidate is confident on camera, highly creative, and able to adapt content for different audiences and channels while staying aligned with the MUST brand and voice.
Responsibilities
Develop engaging social media content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and additional channels as appropriate.
Serve as an on‑camera presence for videos, interviews, behind‑the‑scenes updates, and real‑time coverage.
Shoot, edit, post, and moderate content independently across all channels.
Film and produce short‑form and long‑form content, repurposing assets strategically for each platform.
Collaborate with the Design & Creative Director for graphic support, visual consistency, and creative direction.
Keep up with social media trends, formats, and best practices—and determine which are appropriate and mission‑aligned for MUST.
Build and maintain a content calendar with timely storytelling around events, programs, and initiatives.
Identify and recommend influencers, partners, and creators appropriate for collaborations, ensuring alignment with MUST’s mission and values.
Community Engagement & Monitoring
Monitor, moderate, and respond to comments, messages, and mentions across all platforms in a timely and professional manner.
Help maintain a positive, supportive, and mission‑focused digital community.
Events & On‑Site Coverage
Attend MUST events, fundraisers, volunteer activities, partner events, community initiatives and other events as needed to capture real‑time content.
Conduct onsite interviews, gather stories, and identify strong social moments.
Collaboration & Cross‑Functional Support
Partner with program staff to surface stories, client impact moments, and content opportunities.
Work alongside with and report to the Design & Creative Director to ensure all content meets brand guidelines.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a marketing‑related field or 8 years of experience.
Demonstrated experience creating social media content (portfolio or examples required).
Comfortable and confident on camera; personable, approachable, and able to represent MUST positively.
Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and current social media trends.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Proven ability to shoot, edit, post, and moderate social content across major platforms.
Basic video editing skills (mobile or desktop).
Ability to adapt content for different audiences and platforms.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines.
Passion for the mission of MUST Ministries and the communities we serve.
Availability to attend events, including occasional evenings or weekends.
Experience working in nonprofit, community programs, or mission‑driven organizations preferred.
Photography skills a plus (not required).
