VP, Product Specialist, Asset Mgmt - Remote
Executive Vice President of Product, responsible for driving business development and product specialist activities across the asset management division.
Responsibilities
Facilitate business development and sales process targeting RIAs, Family Offices, Financial Advisors at Broker Dealers, Wire Houses and Private Banks. This will involve regular travel to the areas of coverage.
Serve as a subject matter expert on the firm’s active equities strategy.
Build and maintain relationships with investors.
Develop and implement territory-specific business plans, including the writing of prospecting profiles and call/meeting reports on a timely basis.
Work closely with colleagues across departments to coordinate and execute roadshows, client events, conferences and brand‑building activities.
Work closely with colleagues across departments and global office locations to address investors’ queries/due diligence requests.
Maintain the CRM database and assist in data management for tracking sales activity/pipeline.
Build and maintain a comprehensive client communications strategy including the creation of white papers, infographics, monthly commentaries, performance updates, email campaigns, macro event snapshots and roadshow presentations for the firm’s strategies.
Partner with Integrated Marketing team to develop collateral for the strategic partner’s salespeople.
Based on performance, this role may expand into selectively covering institutional channels and other products such as fixed income and alts over time.
Requirements
8 – 10+ years of business development / product specialist / sub‑advisory distribution experience within the investment management industry targeting Financial Advisors and RIAs throughout the US.
Strong understanding of investing and excellent communication and presentation skills in order to articulate the firm’s investment philosophy and process to RIAs and Financial Advisors. Ability to communicate both quantitative and qualitative investment processes is critical.
Bachelors degree.
Willingness to travel 50‑70% of the time.
