Communication Expert | Team Culture Architect | Driving Growth at Caffrey & Co. About the Role:

As a

Trade Account Specialist , you’ll be the face of Caffrey & Co. to Austin’s top designers—providing attentive, detail-oriented service that’s equal parts professional and warm. This role goes beyond basic quoting and order entry: you are an active participant in the sales pipeline, following up with purpose, tracking open quotes, and guiding our clients toward solutions that support their design vision.

This is not high-pressure selling. This is detailed, strategic, thoughtful relationship-building with a team known for being deeply client-focused, creative, and professional. We’re looking for someone who’s fully engaged and consistently thinking about how to move the business forward. This salaried role requires flexibility, ownership, and a passion for best-in-class service.

Key Responsibilities Sales & Client Support

Assist designers in the showroom with tailored product recommendations.

Accurately create and manage quotes, keeping all quote data organized and up to date.

Own quote follow-up: reach out proactively with helpful, respectful check-ins on open quotes.

Track open pipeline weekly and communicate with clients to keep projects moving forward.

Be informed about lead times, fabric availability, product updates, and anticipate client needs.

Order Management

Accurately process purchase orders in alignment with designer specifications.

Ensure thorough supporting documentation of COM/COL, fabric, and sectional layouts, along with all custom order details.

Collaborate with team members and vendors to address changes or customizations.

Monitor orders post-sale to ensure delivery timelines are met, and clients are updated based on updates from the Order Management Specialist.

Post-Sale Service

Manage warranty claims, service issues, and client concerns with ownership and care.

Communicate with vendors and Order Management Specialist to coordinate resolutions.

Proactively follow up to ensure satisfaction and reinforce Caffrey & Co.’s exceptional service standards.

Showroom Operations

Maintain a welcoming and organized showroom appearance.

Manage fabric samples: keep libraries organized, handle returns, and support designer pulls.

Stay familiar with all showroom pieces, fabrics, and collections on display.

What Sets You Apart

You take ownership. You don’t wait to be asked—you anticipate, follow up, and improve.

You think like a business owner. You’re aware of how your actions affect the team, clients, and company goals.

You elevate the client experience through consistency, care, and precision in every detail.

You’re flexible and accountable. As a salaried professional, you understand that some weeks may require time outside the typical 9–5 to support client needs, deadlines, showroom events, or travel—all handled with care and professionalism.

Desired Experience & Skills

2+ years in a client-facing role, ideally in the design, showroom, or high-end retail space.

Experience with custom quoting, order entry, and project tracking.

Robust communication and organizational skills.

Exceptionally detail-oriented with a high bar for accuracy and completeness—this is non-negotiable.

Proficiency in CRM systems (NetSuite is a plus), Google Suite, Zoom, and Mac products.

Self-motivated with a team-oriented mindset.

A passion for design and exceptional service.
