What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Perform pre-award job duties in response to specific proposal guidelines and terms and conditions
Work with faculty in proposal preparation and submission, managing budgeting and regulatory compliance
Serve as a liaison between faculty, department administrators, and sponsors
Monitor and work with Principal Investigators to submit annual agency reports
Oversee the closure of sponsored project accounts and submission of final reports
What is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in grant management or research administration
Proficient in grant administration processes and compliance regulations
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Knowledge of Research Management Systems (RMS) and SUBS
Familiarity with agency guidelines related to grant proposals
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and analytical software such as IBM Cognos Analytics
Proven ability to manage deadlines and work under pressure
Previous experience in a research-intensive environment
