Commission We are partnering with our California-based life sciences and medical manufacturing client in their search for a Regional Sales Manager to service current and prospective clients in the Northern California territory. This is a

outside sales role

working with clinical, laboratory, biotechnology and research organizations to sell incredibly innovative instruments and ancillary products that save lives and do genuine good in the world. In this role, you will be responsible for leveraging your experience in medical device sales to grow the profitability and opportunity within an existing client list, and more critically, identify, educate and sign new clients. The goal of this role is to place new instruments with new and existing clients, ensure education for all relevant client staff on instrument and ancillary product practices, and to drive long‑term profitability and relationships with these scientific teams. To be a fit, you should bring 3+ years of relevant experience selling medical devices, instruments or similar ancillary products in a life sciences space. Education in biotechnology, life sciences or similar is a plus, but is not required if you bring the right experience. Comfort working with clients face‑to‑face and throughout the Bay Area, Sacramento and additional Northern California markets is a must. This organization manufactures medical devices that change lives, drive innovation in research and provide cutting‑edge tools to scientists and laboratories. While their work is well‑known, they have a luxury of being a smaller, international organization, and you will have access to leaders, engineers and more, which their clients find incredibly beneficial. This is a salaried role ranging from $110,000 to $130,000 annually, with potential slight flexibility in base salary for the right fit. Commissions are uncapped, and first‑year OTE tends to range between $150‑180K annually based on business mix and new clients signed. Benefits are comprehensive and include medical, dental, vision insurance that are fully covered for the employee, life and disability coverage and 401(K). They also offer two weeks of PTO and paid sick time at the CA rate.

This is a remote role outside of significant travel in Northern California, primarily in the Bay Area and Sacramento, and occasional travel to the company's office as needed. You will: Work with clinical, laboratory, biotechnology and research organizations to sell innovative instruments and ancillary products, with the goal of placing large instruments with new clients. Develop new client relationships across Northern California, leveraging leads and research tools to identify opportunity, sign new business, and maintain long‑term relationships. Manage a book of existing clients in Northern California, introducing yourself as a resource with the goal of maintaining current business and driving growth and profitability within existing accounts. Travel throughout Northern California to meet with clients, signing new business, providing training and product education, and developing relationships with relevant stakeholders in and out of laboratory settings. Collaborate with regional, national and international partners within the organization to share expertise and maintain constant, relevant product and industry knowledge. Your experience should include: 3+ years of professional experience in medical device sales, ideally working in the life sciences or biotechnology spaces. Experience selling to laboratories, healthcare organizations, research and/or pharmaceutical companies. Experience selling both instruments and ancillary products, nurturing long‑term relationships with current and future clients. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, including life sciences or similar, highly preferred. Deep comfort with regional car travel and consistent, in‑person meetings throughout the Bay Area, Sacramento and various additional Northern California metro areas (~80%). Sound like you? Apply here to be considered! Candidates with experience in medical device, instrumentation or bioscience sales who are comfortable in a regional, traveling role throughout the Bay Area, Sacramento and similar are top priority, but if you feel aligned with the knowledge base and skills required, we'd love to hear from you.
