Position Purpose
Vistar is looking for a versatile, high-energy Marketing Manager who thrives at the intersection of data, strategy, and sales execution. The Marketing Manager will be the bridge between our digital presence and our physical marketplace footprint. From leading discovery sessions with sales to defining our trade show identity, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for ensuring our brand shows up with consistency, authority, and data-backed precision.
Responsibilities
Lead collaborative discovery sessions with Sales in order to identify market gaps and customer needs; translate these insights into bespoke sales solutions and high-impact marketing collateral. This includes strategic campaign planning and execution.
Design and execute top-to-bottom funnel acquisition strategies that provides Sales team with a consistent stream of qualified leads.
Develop sell decks and pitch materials that win business, often under tight deadlines.
Manage master data for our e-commerce website, ensuring product integrity and optimal customer experience.
Build sophisticated customer cohorts and automated personalization journeys to increase retention and lifetime value.
Dig into the "weeds" of our data using Excel (Pivot Tables, Look-ups, Data Manipulation) pulling insights from the data, and often visualizing those insights in Power BI.
Assist in defining our trade show strategy, managing how we "show up" in the marketplace. This includes booth strategy, experiential marketing, and ensuring the sales team is equipped to convert live leads.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
This role is on site for onboarding (approx. 90 days) and then has 1 remote day per week after onboarding.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of Marketing experience, including supporting Sales through campaign/initiative planning and management
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, to include pivot tables, V LOOKUP, data wrangling, and feature engineering
CRM (ideally Salesforce) + marketing automation platforms (Ideally Pardot)
Compensation $85,000 - $110,000 base salary + 20% annual incentive potential
