A Luxury Senior Living Community in Coral Gables is looking for an Assistant to the Director of Activities & Entertainment.
Overview The Activity Department is open seven days a week, 365 days of the year. It consists of two assistants working under the supervision of the Director of Entertainment. Our community offers daily activities such as Zumba, yoga, bingo, trivia and many more. In addition to the daily schedule, we host large friends and family events on a monthly basis hosting over 700+ guests in one day.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist the Director in decorating the building for all parties, holidays and special events.
Follow the daily activities schedule and carry-out the assigned planned activities and events.
Maintain an ongoing inventory of departmental supplies and equipment.
Engage with the residents on a daily basis, as well as their family members when need be.
Schedule Sunday through Thursday from 10am-6pm. Days off are Friday and Saturday.
What We Are Looking For
Someone extroverted, energetic, creative, good with communication, an innovator who thinks outside the box, and someone who truly wants to work in an environment where they are making a difference in people's lives.
The ideal candidate can speak Spanish.
Experience in event planning in any capacity.
Detail oriented.
Self motivated.
If selected, the candidate will need to go through a background check, drug test and two day [paid] orientation at our community in Kendall.
