Senior Funds Reporter – Infralogic
Join ION as a Senior Funds Reporter on the Infralogic team. This role focuses on delivering exclusive coverage of Limited Partners, General Partners, fundraising, allocations and commitments within the North American renewables, power and infrastructure sectors. Your primary focus will be feeding content into ION Analytics’ Infralogic publication while supporting other ION products.
Key Responsibilities
Build close relationships with funds, managers, lawyers, and advisors.
Shape global coverage of Limited Partners and General Partners, including their allocations, commitments, targets, and personnel moves.
Generate ideas for longer‑form coverage and collaborate with Infralogic data and research teams to produce accurate, exclusive, and market‑scooping news and analyses.
Write an average of four exclusive stories per week and one long‑form piece per month, covering Limited Partner and General Partner Profiles, the Infralogic Fund Market Tracker, and the Fundraising Report.
Assist with ION Analytics’ events, providing content creation, panel moderation, and speaking opportunities.
Work with the regional editor, senior editors, and colleagues across the group to support content creation targeted at ION Analytics’s key customer segments.
Maintain high standards of copy and adhere to group‑wide compliance policies.
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Knowledge of the financial market with a proven record of reporting exclusives.
At least three years of reporting experience in a reputable newsroom, with global exposure.
Proven record of breaking news for a media organization and writing in‑depth analyses.
Ability to spot market trends and conduct research to produce reports.
Track record of building a network of sources to produce reports.
Strong news and analysis writing skills.
Salary Range The estimated salary range is $85,000 – $100,000, negotiable based on experience and skills.
