Crescent Energy is in search of a

Landman

to assist and perform all land functions over a geographical area in support of multi‑rig drilling programs and production activities, and inform management on various land, legal, and regulatory matters. This role will be responsible for performing all the necessary duties related to contracts and title, surface and mineral land work, and due diligence related to acquisitions and divestitures. To be successful in this position we are looking for a self‑starter who desires to be a member of a dynamic team, is interested in learning new skills, and is flexible and adaptable as priorities change.

Key Responsibilities

Negotiate, create and interpret various contracts such as JOAs, Oil and Gas Leases, ROWs, Farmouts, AMI/Exploration Agreements, Seismic Options, PSAs, Letter Agreements, Surface Use Agreement, Damage Settlements, etc.

Coordinate/perform/supervise the securing of title work, including abstracts and associated title curative as it relates to surface and mineral ownership

Interpret, execute and maintain contracts to ensure compliance with obligations

Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of land management and negotiation

Assist with complaints, grievance resolutions and other owner disputes and make recommendations regarding damage claims settlements

Be proactive in addressing community and stakeholder issues

Represent the Company in handling complaints, arbitrating disputes or resolving grievances that may arise during negotiations with landowners and business activities with regulatory agencies

Coordinate/supervise/perform acquisition or divestiture due diligence/title work and work with other company disciplines and consultants

Acquire drill sites, easements, surface leases, access roads, frac pits, water use and other rights as needed for drilling and production activities

Direct and supervise field personnel such as land brokers, surveyors and other consultants in completing projects such as lease acquisition, title/abstract work, damage settlements, ROW acquisition, etc.

Communicate internally regarding ongoing projects, prospects, timeline strategy, etc.

Serve as company liaison with landowners, local, county, state and federal regulatory agencies

Required Experience & Education

Bachelor’s degree required; Petroleum Land Management/Energy Management, or related is preferred

Minimum of 5 years In‑House Landman experience, with Texas experience strongly preferred

RPL/CPL preferred

Strong experience leading and directing field personnel (i.e. land brokers, surveyors, consultants, operations-field land team) in active development area, both surface and minerals, required

Proven process focused individual with experience with implementation of value/effective/efficient processes within and across interdepartmental Teams, required

Excellent stakeholder awareness, communication, relationship, and organizational skills, required

Superior ability to be a “Team Player” and efficiently and effectively drive Team, department and corporate strategic goals and initiatives, required
