Licensed Inside Sales Representative – Property and Casualty – Base Pay + Uncapped Bonuses

This position is responsible for quoting and selling insurance policy premiums to incoming sales prospects from advertising purchased leads while providing excellent customer service to new and existing customers. The role includes educating, providing quotes, and selling insurance products, overcoming objections, and demonstrating product benefits.
Starting base pay is $25 per hour with an uncapped bonus plan available. Average variable compensation is roughly $2,000 per month but could vary, up to $5,000. Variable compensation will grow as the business expands in multiple states.
Applicants must currently hold an active Property and Casualty Producers License or a Personal Lines License to be considered for this role.
By utilizing your bilingual skills (English/Spanish), you will receive a 7% shift premium.
Position Compensation Hourly: $25.00 – $31.88.
Compensation may vary based on job level and geographic location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.
Primary Accountabilities
Quote and sell insurance products to new and current customers.
Advise prospects on appropriate insurance coverage and options relative to circumstances, meeting customer needs.
Run reports from various systems to verify accuracy of insurance and driving information.
Explain coverage and payment options.
Follow up on unsold internet leads that may have a likelihood of purchasing.
Service existing customer policies, including changes, when customer service is not available.
Follow up on underwriting requests to ensure policy underwriting adherence and improve retention.
Attend sales meetings, seminars, or educational activities to stay current with market trends, regulations, and maintain state licensing.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
Thorough understanding of company guidelines and ability to communicate them to customers and employees.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to multi-task with speed and accuracy.
Organizational and problem‑solving skills.
Licenses Must hold an active Property and Casualty Insurance Producer’s License or Personal Lines (Not Adjusters). American Family Insurance will pay for license maintenance and CE requirements after hire.
Travel & Physical Requirements
Travel: Up to 25%.
Physical: Primarily sitting/standing.
Working Location This position is primarily work‑from‑home.
