Lead Sales Associate - PT (Williams Town, MA)
Join Dollar General as a Lead Sales Associate (PT) in Williams Town, MA. In this role you will serve as a cashier and/or stocker, leading the team in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager, ensuring excellent customer service and store operations.

Key Responsibilities
Unload trucks, receive, open and unpack cartons and totes.
Stock merchandise, rotate and face products on shelves, and build displays.
Restock returned and recovered merchandise.
Track and order zones and drop shipment categories per store manager direction.
Assist in plan‑ogram implementation and maintenance.
Help customers locate merchandise and provide superior customer service.
Maintain retail floor cleanliness and safety, including dusting, mopping, trash removal and restroom upkeep.
Operate cash register and flat‑bed scanner, handle payments, give change, and bag merchandise.
Manage front‑end register plan‑ograms and maintain register countertops.
Assist in setting up sidewalk displays and general store setup.
Maintain a clean, organized store and secure shopping environment.
Lead and coach other sales associates in customer service and store protocols.
Follow all company policies, SOPs, Employee Handbook, and communications.
Open and close the store as directed by the Area Manager.
In the Absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager
Authorize refunds and overrides, count register, and make bank deposits.
Monitor cash levels, drawer pulls and cashier accountability.
Control register key access and ensure cash control procedures.
Monitor cameras for unusual activity.Supply cashiers with change when needed.
Complete required paperwork and documentation according to guidelines.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum six months of supervisory experience (preferred).
Basic math skills with percentages.
Cash handling knowledge, including accountability and deposit control.
Ability to use IBM cash register functions.
Strong interpersonal and written communication.
Understanding of safety policies and practices.
Ability to read and follow plan‑ograms and merchandise presentation guidance.
New Hire Starting Pay Range:
$15.50 – $15.75
per hour.
