Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Peer Specialist, you will provide invaluable support, encouragement, and guidance to individuals drawing upon your own lived experience with mental health or substance use challenges.
Help individuals in setting and achieving their own goals.
Maintain high standards of personal conduct. Teach and role model the value of every individual’s recovery experience. Conduct yourself in a manner that fosters one's own recovery. Share with consumers and colleagues personal recovery stories from mental health challenges. Identify and describe the supports that promote recovery.
Respect the confidentiality, rights, and dignity of the individuals served at all times.
Job Requirements High School Graduate or GED.
Must have experience with your own personal mental health challenges.
Preferred Experience as a Peer Support Specialist or working in a Psychiatric or Human Services setting.
Where You’ll Work CHI Health Immanuel, located in North Omaha just off of I-680 on 72nd Street. The facility offers a full-service hospital, cancer center, rehabilitation center, specialty spine hospital, and more.
Pay Range $16.83 - $23.77 /hour
