The
Superintendent III
directly manages complex to highly complex construction projects—typically valued between
$2M–$10M —ensuring they meet specifications, adhere to budgets, and complete on schedule. This role requires minimal oversight from senior field leadership. Responsibilities
Lead all on-site construction activities to meet specifications, budgetary constraints, and schedule milestones. Plan, coordinate, and supervise trade partners, craft superintendents, contractors, equipment vendors, and craft personnel. Own the successful delivery of medium-to-large construction scopes with minimal senior field leadership input. Oversee discipline‑specific scopes valued at $2M–$10M. Drive on-site safety and quality assurance, ensuring compliance with all standards. Lead or participate in key project meetings such as Owner–Architect–Contractor (OAC) meetings, safety briefings, daily huddles, and pull‑planning sessions. Identify deviations from specifications early and implement necessary corrective actions. Employ Lean tools for schedule management, constructability reviews, sequencing, and efficiency improvements. Utilize project management software (e.g., PlanGrid, Autodesk Construction Cloud, P6, MS Projects) and mobile devices effectively. Directly manage a project’s construction activities to meet specifications, delivering the project within budgeted cost and by the scheduled completion date. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Science, or Engineering or equivalent job experience required. Minimum of fifteen years of experience. Additional Qualifications
Biologics and/or Process focused construction projects HIGHLY PREFERED. Proven success managing medium-to-large scale construction projects. Experience with design/build projects. Strong understanding and application of Lean construction methods. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, mobile/handheld devices, and platforms like PlanGrid, VDC apps. Discipline-specific expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, Piping/Plumbing, Automation, or Instrumentation & Control (I&C). Experience in life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical sectors is a plus.
