About the Role As a Grounds Crew member you will play a vital role in delivering best‑in‑class fan experiences to guests of Wrigley Field. You will assist in duties related to field preparation both pre‑ and post‑game for the 2024 season.

Responsibilities

Perform general baseball field maintenance including preparing, maintaining, and repairing all field, bullpen, mound, plate and warning track areas.

Assist with batting practice set‑up and tear‑down, infield tarp deployment and removal.

Perform turf grass management including mowing, edging, sodding, aerating, topdressing, irrigation repairs, and assisting with fertilizer and pest control applications.

Maintain cleanliness in batting cage areas, dugouts and other spaces.

Assist the Custodial Game Crew with trash and recycling removal from concourse areas during Cubs games and events.

Perform general equipment repair and maintenance.

Execute other duties as required.

Qualifications

At least one year of experience in all technical areas of baseball field maintenance.

Proficiency with specialized turf equipment, mowing skills, mound and plate repair and turf grass replacement.

Capacity to perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, climbing flights of stairs, walking on uneven ground, walking/running up and down ramps, and standing for extended periods.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.Demonstrated ability to address and resolve conflict, both verbal and physical.초>

Strong verbal communication skills.

Ability to adapt to a work environment that changes with weather.

Willingness to work nontraditional hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Must be able to work the minimum number of hours per season (150) including nights, weekends and holidays.

Availability from March through October.

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum age 18 by Opening Day.
