About This Role We are hiring a UX Designer to join our MuleSoft UX team with a focus on designing innovative development experiences. MuleSoft is a market leader in Integration and API Management as a standalone, rapidly‑growing business and an engine fueling Salesforce’s platform. MuleSoft’s recent push into the Agent discovery, management, governance, and observability space with the successful launch of MuleSoft Agent Fabric underpins our focus on the developer and their ability to design, build, deploy, and manage their assets. This role will focus on designing innovative development experiences.
To be successful in this role, you will bring a Design Thinking toolkit, a passion for design craft, solid visual design skills, experience leveraging AI tools, and a growth mindset. You’ll partner with senior members of our talented UX team that will help you see the big picture, build connections across products and teams, craft great experiences, and launch your design career.
Experience/Skills Required
2+ years of experience designing and delivering products from start to finish as part of a cross‑functional team
Solid understanding of user‑centered design methods, processes, and best practices
Demonstrated desire and ability to continually improve through consistent collection of feedback
The ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative, agile environment while producing great design work on tight deadlines
The ability to explore ideas and build consensus on fast‑moving projects with varying degrees of ambiguity
Self‑motivation; ability to produce results both independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and active listening skills, with an ability to build and develop close, trusting relationships
Experience using multiple approaches, including analytics and user research, to drive decisions and develop product iterations
Solid knowledge of current design tools such as Figma, along with an ability to quickly learn new tools as they emerge
A strong desire to design software that is global in reach, universal in design, and designed for users of multiple languages and abilities
An internal compass that points toward ethics and equality, and the conviction to speak up when we veer off course
BA/BS or MA/MS in a design‑related field, or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
Work closely with product owners, other designers, engineers, and user research to understand our users, our business requirements, and craft and deliver designs that meet the needs of both
Prepare and deliver documentation, reviews, and presentations that communicate clear and compelling ideas to a wide range of key stakeholders
Serve as a bridge connecting design, product, engineering, and marketing teams
Create designs that adhere to and extend the existing style guide and/or design system
Generate detailed final design specs that inspire accurate developer builds
Work with developers and quality experts to deliver a polished final product
Creates inclusive designs for all users. Advocates for accessibility, encouraging product and engineering management to prioritize accessible features and bug fixes

The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
