Investor Relations Manager Reports To: Development Manager

Position Description:

The Investor Relations Manager is responsible for the health and sustainability of the T1L1 investor base, with a primary focus on our broad base segment of investors (including monthly and annual partners). The person in this role ensures every investor feels the impact of their gift. By minimizing attrition, maximizing monthly recurring revenue, and maintaining a high-integrity Client Relationship Management (CRM), this role ensures that as we grow toward our annual revenue goal, no partner is left behind and every potential for growth is identified.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Investor Retention & "The Win-Back" Strategy

Annual Investment Oversight: Direct the end-to-end strategy for the Priority Three annual giving cycle. This includes executing seasonal appeals (Spring, Fall, Year-End) and ensuring every investor in this segment is invited into a deeper level of partnership each year.

Monthly Giving: Manage and grow the monthly recurring revenue program. Actively reach out to investors with expiring credit cards or failed payments to ensure uninterrupted support.

Lapsed Investor Recovery: Monitor "at‑risk" investors who have not given in 6–12 months. Implement automated and personal "Win‑Back" sequences to bring them back into the T1L1 community.

Strategic Stewardship Automation: Design and manage the "Welcome Journey" for new investors in the CRM, ensuring they receive high-quality touchpoints (impact videos, letters, and calls) that prime them for their next annual investment.

2. CRM Management

Data Integrity: Maintain "clean" data in the CRM. Ensure all investors are segmented correctly by interest, location, and giving history.

Reporting: Generate weekly and monthly reports on key metrics: Investor Retention Rate, Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR), and Campaign Progress.

3. Operational Excellence & Support

Grant Management: Maintain the grants calendar, ensuring that all Letters of Intent (LOI) and applications are submitted on time and that reporting requirements are met.

Direct Mail & Digital Appeals: Coordinate the logistics for quarterly appeals, year‑end campaigns, and Giving Tuesday, ensuring the right message reaches the right segment at the right time.

Event Support: Provide backend data support for regional and national events (registration tracking, attendee tagging, and post‑event follow‑up).

Position Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience.

Proven success in nonprofit fundraising, including a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed fundraising goals, along with a strong understanding of fundraising principles and engagement strategies.

Strong proficiency with technology, including desktop and mobile tools such as fundraising software and databases, Google Workspace, and project management platforms.

Clear alignment with and commitment to Teach One to Lead One’s vision, mission, Core Values, and Commitments.

Commitment to obtain Youth Development Professional™ (YDP) Certification within the designated timeframe.

Willingness and flexibility to travel for investor meetings and fundraising events, with a relational approach that values building meaningful, long‑term connections.

Position Qualifications:

Principle-Centered: Embody the T1L1 universal principles—specifically Integrity, Excellence, and Humility.

The "System Thinker": Love order and see beauty in a well‑organized database. The person in this role believes that an organized CRM is an act of stewardship toward our investors.

Relational Heart: Never forget that every row in the spreadsheet represents a person who believes in our kids.

Technical Proficiency: Mastery (or a high aptitude for) CRM, Google Suite, and project management tools.

Compelling & Precise Communicator: Demonstrated ability to alternate seamlessly between vision‑inspiring storytelling that moves investors to action and the technical precision required for grant writing, impact reporting, and operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Performance Targets:

Retention Rate: Maintain or increase the percentage of investors who give year‑over‑year.

Monthly Recurring Revenue Growth: Increase the amount of monthly recurring revenue.

Data Health: 100% of new investors entered into a "Welcome Sequence" within 48 hours of their first gift.

Priority Three Revenue Goal: Meet or exceed the annual budget goal for the Priority Three segment through effective appeal coordination and renewal strategies.

Investor Ascension: Move low‑level annual giving investors to monthly investors.
