Education We have an immediate opening for a full-time Digital Sales Manager to support the Des Moines Sales Team. The ideal candidate will prioritize digital sales excellence by collaborating with Market Management and Account Executives to maximize overall digital sales revenue. You’ll coach fellow sales team members on effectively selling our suite of digital products and providing ongoing product support/digital education to improve sales team knowledge and confidence in presenting digital solutions.

Mobile Geofencing

Search Engine Optimization

Social Media Advertising and Content Creation

Political Advertising

Event Marketing and Management

Recruitment Advertising

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

Become a subject-matter expert (SME) of Company digital marketing/advertising platforms and offerings.

Step up as an effective consultant and trainer – both internally and externally – on digital tactics, benefits, and trends.

Collaborate daily – maintain high levels of communication internally with station and corporate management, sales staff, and externally with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.

Coach sales staff by participating in client meetings, building relationships with top clients, and actively networking within the broadcasting industry community to identify and monitor marketing/sales trends for key digital business segments.

Analyze existing initiatives and conceptualize new programs or pipelines to advance the digital team; develop deep understanding of markets, customers, and competitors to target needs and drive sales.

Provide local sales teams with the program training, planning tools, and support to reach established revenue goals.

Conduct market research on trends and competitors; and regular customer analysis.

Perform other duties and special initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

4+ years of sales, marketing, or advertising experience preferred – radio or television broadcasting exposure a huge plus.

Solid understanding of the entire business-to-business sales process: pipelines, lead/revenue generation, successful closing processes, cross-platform solutions, etc.

Excellent presentation skills, strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to prioritize and solve client issues successfully.

Time management and organizational skills, with high attention to detail.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Must be a team player, with ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external clients.

Strong computer skills and software-savvy – ability to learn multiple new software programs easily; previous exposure to e-commerce sites, CRM and digital marketing/advertising software preferred.
