With the support of their Executive Partner, our Gartner for CHRO clients more adeptly assess the changes needed within their organization, achieve their goals more quickly, and operate with a higher assurance of success. As an Executive Partner, you will have the opportunity to deliver solutions for the most complex talent and workforce challenges facing companies across all industries.

Partnering with our members means that no two days are the same; you could be supporting the development of HR strategy and foundational HR governance principles, helping to develop and/or transform the operating models of HR teams/organizations, assisting/advising with the development and execution of programs and initiatives that improve Employee Experience—including strategy work to better articulate Employee Value Propositions, define Learning & Development strategies, and create roadmaps for supporting the future of work with new technologies—and developing, coaching and/or critiquing overarching HR and D&I strategies. Gartner for CHRO EPs serve as accountability partners through delivery of Gartner research insights and personal experiences/expertise on key initiatives, priorities, and strategies.

What You'll Do

Provide executive advisory services to CHRO members who work across all industries and business models.

Synthesize Gartner insights and data to deliver world‑class advisory support through ongoing bi‑weekly client engagement and periodic client working sessions. The ability and willingness to operate independently to adapt materials fit for client use is required.

Host, facilitate, and/or participate in periodic member activities, including working sessions to develop strategy, peer roundtables, sessions and client meetings at the annual ReImagineHR conference, and virtual webinars. These activities may be delivered virtually or on‑site depending on circumstance.

Define and deliver innovative solutions by assessing member needs and developing a customized value plan in accordance with overall Executive Program strategy and product deliverables.

Facilitate member interaction and peer collaboration through the Gartnerfor CHRO member community portal and assisted member connections.

Work as a collaborative Gartner team member serving members in conjunction with Client Support Professionals and Account Executives.

Participate in all phases of the member lifecycle: pre‑sale, onboarding, relationship management, delivery, review and renewal.

Responsible for member retention and for contributing toward account growth through direct support of Gartner Sales in account plan development and value demonstration activities.

What You'll Need

The Executive Partner will be an accomplished CHRO, working with the C‑suite, the Board of Directors and a host of stakeholders with a broad base of expertise, who has operated at a senior leadership level and driven change at all levels.

At least 5+ years of experience working as a CHRO (or the top HR role within an organization) and at least 15+ years of experience in HR.

An in‑depth understanding of the HR function and the role of the CHRO (including leadership, operations management, strategy and trends, use of metrics, Board engagement etc.)

In‑depth understanding of the business value of HR and the alignment of business and HR strategies.

Technologically savvy; our model is lean and you'll need to handle your own administrative tasks.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of tools to adapt PowerPoints, leverage Excel spreadsheets, and to use Word to draft client‑ready materials.

Consulting background a plus.

Critical thinker and problem solver demonstrating the ability to assess our Member's situations and provide actionable, outcome‑based business / technical advice, as well as the ability to leverage appropriate Gartner resources to help Members achieve results.

Ability to build strategic internal partnerships with key roles and all levels across the organization, and positively impact change within Gartner and for our clients.

This role is a client‑facing position that requires a high level of executive presence and the ability to quickly build trust and deliver value.

Demonstrate superior verbal and written communication skills, strong facilitation and presentation skills, and excellent relationship management skills.

Willing to work independently and handle administrative tasks.

Location Requirement Seeking candidates based in the Western United States within the Pacific or Mountain time zones.

Salary and Benefits Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 188,000 USD – 225,000 USD. The salary may vary within the range, or be higher or lower, based on education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role‑based, uncapped sales incentive plan. We also offer market‑leading benefit programs including generous PTO, a 401(k) match up to $7,200 per year, the opportunity to purchase company stock at a discount, and more.
