CEO & Co-Founder at Dune Security. Prevent Insider Threats and Social Engineering — Automatically. We are #hiring. Company Overview:

Dune Security’s User Adaptive Risk Management solution proactively prevents insider threats and social engineering by simulating multi-channel attacks, scoring user risk, and adapting training and controls in real time. Powered by AI, we quantify employee risk with comprehensive data and automatically deliver user-adaptive training and intervention. For higher-risk users, our platform integrates seamlessly with the broader security stack to dynamically implement controls. Backed by Craft Ventures, Toba Capital, Alumni Ventures, Firestreak Ventures, and Antler, we empower CISOs to proactively manage human risk—the leading cause of cybersecurity breaches—and build safer, more resilient organizations.

Role Overview

Dune Security is hiring a

Senior Product Designer

to shape interfaces that make complex technical systems intuitive, legible, and trustworthy. This role extends beyond traditional UX design into the creation of custom, real-time, interactive visual systems that respond dynamically to system state and AI-driven signals.

In this role, you will design interaction models and visual systems where motion, behavior, and visual expression are informed by live data and AI model outputs. Rather than a collection of static screens, the interface itself may function as a living, real-time system. Your work will span both customer-facing product experiences and internal visual tools, with a strong emphasis on clarity, comprehension, and user trust.

Key Responsibilities

Design UX and interaction models for core product workflows, from early concept through production

Define interaction behaviors and system feedback mechanisms that help users understand complex, evolving system states

Create high-fidelity prototypes, simulations, and interactive experiments to validate motion, behavior, and user comprehension

Design and produce original visual, motion, and rendered assets—including illustrations, animations, diagrams, and real-time visuals—used across customer-facing and internal tools

Contribute to the design of custom real-time rendering systems, where visuals respond dynamically to user actions and AI model outputs

Apply motion, animation, and visual transitions to reinforce meaning, state changes, and system feedback

Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Design to align user understanding, product intent, and technical feasibility

Partner with engineers to ensure designs are implemented accurately, efficiently, and with performance considerations in mind

Work with Product and Project Management (PJM) to design clear, visually refined presentations (e.g., PowerPoint or equivalent) that communicate complex technical content to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders

Design and conduct user surveys and in-product feedback mechanisms to collect, organize, and analyze user input, using insights to iteratively refine and improve the user experience

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in UX design, product design, or hybrid UX, visual, motion, or interactive design roles

Strong interaction design instincts with demonstrated experience simplifying complex workflows and system behaviors

Deep understanding of human-centered design principles, usability, and cognitive load

Exceptional visual design skills, including typography, layout, hierarchy, composition, and color systems

Strong artistic ability, including the ability to draw, sketch, illustrate, paint, render, and compose original visuals

Experience using motion and animation as a functional component of user understanding

Experience with or strong interest in AI-assisted and real-time visual systems, including:

AI models whose analytical or generative outputs influence visual state

Systems where model outputs (e.g., sentiment, confidence, or behavioral signals) drive real-time motion, expression, or visual behavior

Diffusion-based image and video synthesis

Voice synthesis and audio generation

CGI, real-time rendering, and image and video compositing

Understanding of lighting, depth, shadow, and spatial logic as applied to real-time visuals and interactive systems

Ability to clearly articulate design intent, system behavior, and visual reasoning to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Bonus Experience

Experience with video game-style rendering pipelines, including NPCs, character systems, or interactive agents

Familiarity with 3D-to-2D projection techniques for presenting spatial or volumetric data in flat interfaces

Experience designing or collaborating on systems where AI-driven sentiment or behavioral analysis influences the expressive state of rendered visuals in real time

Experience creating synthetic or simulated visual media for training, education, or system understanding

Experience with NVIDIA real-time rendering technologies, GPU-accelerated pipelines, or MetaHuman-style digital humans and avatars

Tools & Technical Fluency

Figma, including design systems, components, and prototyping

Prototyping tools such as ProtoPie, Figma Prototyping, Framer, or similar

Motion and animation tools including Adobe After Effects

Illustration, rendering, and artwork tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, Blender, or equivalent

Familiarity with front-end concepts including HTML, CSS, and component-based UI development

Experience collaborating directly with engineers in design-to-code and real-time rendering workflows

Education

Degree in Interaction Design, Intermedia Design, User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Visual Communication, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

A UX or product design portfolio demonstrating interaction design and shipped software

A visual portfolio of original artwork, motion, real-time experiments, or AI-assisted visual systems, including illustrations, rendered visuals, animations, simulations, or interactive visual tools used in software products

What Success Looks Like

Users quickly understand what the system is showing and how it is behaving

Interfaces feel intuitive, grounded, and intentional, even when highly dynamic

Motion, visuals, and real-time rendering actively improve comprehension and trust

Both customer-facing users and internal teams benefit from expressive, understandable visual systems

Product and engineering teams can execute designs with clarity and minimal ambiguity

Why Dune Security

At Dune Security, design is how intelligence becomes understandable. In this role, you will help define how UX, real-time rendering, motion, and AI-driven behavior come together to create interfaces that communicate complex systems clearly, responsibly, and with purpose.
