The Department of State Hospitals - Napa, General Services is accepting applications for a full time, permanent Digital Print Operator II. Under the direction of the Business Service Officer Supervisor I, the Digital Print Operator II performs a full range of both average and complex document reproduction and digital printing work, accurately and effectively making use of all technological features of latest-generation, computer-networked digital printing and copying equipment. Receives original/master material in either hard copy or electronic format; prepares original material for printing/copying via physical organization of materials, scanning materials, setting up/programming digital printing equipment and document-preparation software associated with the equipment. Completes printing and copying jobs according to specifications. Takes measurements using fractions and applies basic mathematical functions. Carries out all document finishing tasks including in-line collating, assembling, cutting, binding, stitching, hole-punching. Moves and/or lifts up to 50 lbs. and stands for long periods of time.

Department Information Founded in 1875, Napa State Hospital is the only state hospital in Northern California for persons struggling with severe mental illness. Classified as a low to moderate security facility, the hospital has a bed capacity to treat up to 1,362 patients on an attractive campus with treatment units located on 138 acres. Staff is dedicated and committed to delivering high quality, cost-effective, professional services and specialized programs in an environment that promotes continuous improvements in treatment for individuals with mental disabilities.
