Day to Day:

Insight Global is seeking a detail-oriented and creative individual to join one of our transportation/logistics clients as an Instructional Designer. This role is critical to accelerating development, rebranding, and packaging of training deliverables for a large project of theirs. You will focus on rapid visual buildouts, standards compliance (SCORM/xAPI), and quality assurance to meet executive timelines and reduce bottlenecks on the Learning & Development team. This position requires strong communication skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to work effectively in a self-directed team environment.

  • Design and develop training material, including identifying learning objectives and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Build training content for classroom, self-paced, and interactive e-learning formats.
  • Create new hire training materials for front-line employees, including train-the-trainer guides, checklists, and skill practice assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and technical requirements (SCORM/xAPI) for all deliverables.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy, branding consistency, and functionality across all training assets.


Schedule: Hybrid, 3 days onsite - 8am-5pm

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Technical Communications, Education or equivalent work or military experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in training design and development
  • Experience using Captivate, Rise, Storyline or other comparable applications
  • Strong skills with Creative Cloud tools (Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Acrobat, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint

Plusses:

  • Experience with a learning management system
  • Understanding of the functionality of multiple transportation-related systems (TMS, WMS, EDI Systems, Routing/Dispatch Systems)
  • Ability to work with nontechnical users to explain technical concepts
