Job Description: We are looking for a Soldering Assembly Technician to assemble electronic components and utilize advanced soldering techniques to create high-quality circuit boards and electronic devices. Responsibilities include: Performing manual and automated soldering techniques to assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs) Interpreting and following technical diagrams, schematics, and work instructions accurately Assembling, modifying, and repairing electronic components and equipment as required Conducting thorough visual inspections and quality checks on completed assemblies Maintaining a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols and procedures Collaborating with team members to meet production goals and deadlines efficiently Identifying and reporting any defects or issues in the assembly process to ensure quality standards are met Assisting in troubleshooting technical problems and implementing solutions as needed Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality in the production process Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory Minimum of 1-3 years of verifiable experience in electronics assembly or a closely related field Demonstrated proficiency in a wide range of soldering techniques and practices Comprehensive knowledge of electronic components and PCB assembly processes Proven ability to accurately interpret technical diagrams and schematics Exceptional hand-eye coordination and meticulous attention to detail are critical In-depth understanding of quality control procedures and industry standards Extensive experience in the operation of soldering equipment and related tools Thorough knowledge and application of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) prevention techniques Demonstrated capacity to perform efficiently in a high-pressure manufacturing environment Superior organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously IPC-A-610 certification is highly preferred Proficient computer skills for accurate data entry and documentation Strong commitment to continuous learning and adaptation to emerging technologies and processes Why Smiths Interconnect?
